Not much to post. Just felt like putting something cheerful up here. That means another update on my projects. Yay!
Let’s see… Joyful By Tiffany… I’m going to come down there and tie you to your computer until you finish. I swear, as soon as I have a free weekend, I’m coming to the Cape. Spring is coming! That means shows!!! …and as a note to myself as well, I think I’m going to install Joomla or something and dummy up everything and make you do your own updating. If you go away to Oxford before this is finished I’ll have your head the first time you set foot back on American soil, my friend! *Love you Tiffy!* ;)
Xiorlaxiord… I can’t even spell that, Dad. And I’m one of the few who knows how to pronounce it. We need to talk about the objects we scanned, cause cleaning them is being a pain in the you-know-what. Apart from that, we also need a more… professional …photo session. We need real lights and whatnot, cause most of the photos I have aren’t going to be usable. :/
Fractured Parallels is in a state of completeness, or so I have been informed. I think it needs more (like an actual Main Page for the link to go to, for example) but I have been told that it is how it is for the time being, and that I am to draw comics and not worry about it, because it’s waiting on a very particular photo to be taken, which can not yet be taken… ok. So that’s as done as I can make it (though I think I need to add one little line to the drop shadow). and of course the fact that I wasn’t able to implement any accessibility, but I’ve been told to wait on that too.
The Caffeinated Mundane: Was using bphpbtdptnhsdfj… um… btPHP yes. Never can get those letters out in order. But it just switched over to ComicPress. So I need to redo everything… and redesign the front page. Cause, while it’s a great page, it’s also absolutely huge. I try to keep people like my parents in mind when I design, and I really didn’t for that one. It’s like 1200 px wide, and has two huge jpgs… my ‘rents use a modem, and Dad claims the video card died (I say it’s the driver, but sometimes dads just know these things, so ok) and the monitor can’t display larger then 640×400. (Next time I get a new computer I’m donating this one to them.) ANYway. I have a ton to do yet for that one – I haven’t even started the forum. Plus drawing the comics… which is technically what I’m supposed to be doing right now, instead of posting, but… it’s too cold in here to hold a pencil today. Yeah, that’s a good excuse for the moment.
Drawing the comics. I think I know what the characters look like; at least the two recurring ones. I will speak further of that on the appropriate site, at some point in the future, after I have it redesigned.
I need to make contact with others about the pictures they requested, to see if I should continue, since I haven’t heard from either of them recently… (feels like decades, but we aren’t old enough yet for it have actually been that long.)
And I’m starting a graphic novel, which has yet to be written. I’m not writing it – I’m just drawing it. So I’m learning about inking (there’s so much to know about pens!) and layout and such, and I’ve taken up drawing crazy-looking houses. I’ll probably post the rejected ones on the site. We’ll see.
So I guess that’s all happy, except that I feel like I’m forgetting some. I have so many projects, I can never think about them all at once. Humans can only keep 7 things in mind at once, they say.
And the final happy news of the day is that I finally got a contract doing something I’m actually going to enjoy! *does a happy dance* Yay cross-browser CSS implementation! Yay debugging! Yay accessibility! I start Thursday. I have a lot to get done before then ;)
Oh, and to tie it all into the title, I had ramen for lunch, and I’m listening to my “happy playlist” and it’s been a good day. Because of that ramen. Or possibly because the other half of lunch was an ice cream sandwich – the great kind with cookies to hold it together and tiny chocolate chips on the sides. Yum. :)
